Purpose: The Grading Committee will advise the BLT on grading practices at Albany High School as regulated by the Board of Education 4710 Grading System.

Mission: The Grading Committee will review department grading policies and requests for variances. The Committee will also review the Board of Education 4710 Grading System in the context of building needs, regional standards and state standards so that the BLT may make recommendations to the Board regarding its modification.

Goals: 1) Encourage consistent grading practices from course to course, within and among departments

            2) Create a culture where students actively participate in courses all four marking periods with the perception that the grading system accurately reflects their performance
