Purpose: The purpose the of the School Culture and Climate Committee is to improve the quality of school life as experienced by members of the school community: Students, School Personnel, andParents/Guardians.
Mission: Albany High School is a safe, supportive, and diverse environment where all are welcome and meaningfully involved in learning, leading, and developing as individuals and as a community.
Goals: 1. Decreasing Office Referrals by 50%
2. Increasing the number of 9th graders, 10th grade
credit ready by____%
3. Increasing the numbers of 10th grade
students, 11th grade credit ready
Strategies:
1.Increase the number of 9th grade students involved in Extended Learning Opportunities (i.e. clubs, sports, tutoring).
2. Annual survey of faculty, students and parents.
3.Partner with parents and community members to support Extended Learning Opportunities work.
4. NCBI
5. Connecting students to their academies and themes through academy sponsored activities.
